This project is a faithful reproduction of the original that was built in the Shaker village of Hancock in Massachusetts USA. in the mid 1800’s. The Shakers were known for there mastery of simple elegant design of there furniture. Light and strong with clean lines was the way they approached there design and builds.

This table is made of solid Cherry with dovetailed legs the top is held with a tenon. Although this table is light and looks fragile it is surprisingly solid and one has served as a side table to my easy chair for many years.
